Chapter 1003: Eclipse Fenwolf.

This chapter is updated by Novels.pl

Once again, Alec was free-falling through the skies of the Third Level of the beast forest, as the wind tore past him, his mind drifted to the future, as he started to think what would happen when he reached the Tier 9 Mage Realm and finally outgrew this place?, What came after the Third Level of the Beast Forest?

For now, he could only hope there would be another door, another path that would lead him into the Monarch Realm, though the system had helped him climb this far, yes… but it wasn’t a lie for him to say the Amulet World was the real reason he’d reached his current stage so swift.

The ancient tree and the pills it helped create had helped him make breakthroughs and even help others in his team, his academy and now even his clan were benefiting from it, the endless battle scenarios inside the Beast Forest had also helped forge him into a better fighter.

He had lived through thousands of life-and-death fights. He’d learned in blood, pain, and desperation, and that was exactly why people called him a battle genius now, because he wasn’t just strong… he was completely dangerous when it mattered the most.

Bang!

He hit the ground like a falling star, the impact rippling through the forest, as the nearby Tier 6 demonic beasts scattered immediately, fleeing the moment they felt his presence, because the troublesome human was back again.

They hated that feeling, not only could none of them defeat him alone, but even when they banded together and managed to kill him, he would vanish right before their eyes not leaving a body for them to feast on… only to return the next day, reborn, as if death meant nothing to him.

To them, it was terrifying, as it meant revenge was guaranteed, because Alec always made it his mission to hunt down all the beasts that killed him, and any unlucky bystander that happened to be nearby gets swept in.

So whenever they heard that meteor-like crash, they stayed far away, as they knew Alec wasn’t here for them, he mostly only hunted the beasts in the special region.

Alec shot into the air and flew straight toward the edge of the current zone he was facing after his fall, in no time, he reached it, then slowed, his eyes narrowing, as this region ahead was different.

He had never stepped into it before even after seeing it many times when he entered the third level.

The Dark Forest.

That was what Alec called it, because inside it… everything was black, the leaves bore dark petals, the trees were black, and even the air seemed soaked in shadow, way too many things in that place were black, and it looked like it was perpetually night, especially with the wide Shadow Veil draped over the entire region.

But Alec had already come this far, and he had no intention of turning back, this time, though, he wasn’t walking into it hopelessly like before, and that was because his shadow wolf had stepped into the Tier 7 Realm.

In fact, Alec couldn’t even call him a Shadow Wolf anymore, because Midnight wasn’t one again, he had become a hybrid—no, not even a normal hybrid. He was the first of his kind, a breed that didn’t match any known line.

His new race had a name now:

Eclipse Fenwolf.

And he was far stronger than Alec had expected,

[Status]

Name: Midnight

Race: Eclipse Fenwolf (Demonic Beast)

Level: 121

Tier: Low Tier 7

Affinity: Shadow, Light

Skills: Dark Slip (High Lv.1), Dark Claw Slash, Umbral Fangs, Light Shuffle (High Lv.1), Light Fangs, Light Claw Slash

Mutated Parts: Claws (High Lv.1), Fur Hide (High Lv.1), Limbs (High Lv.1)

Compatibility: 100%

Truthfully, Alec hadn’t stopped investing in him, every time he hunted beasts, he made sure Midnight grew stronger, by sacrificing the beast soul of the demonic beast he kill in order to gain bloodline point which he then used in the system store to help improve his spirit beast, as he wanted Midnight to be strong enough to compete properly with the demonic beasts of the special regions.

As Alec stepped into the Dark Forest, he decided it was finally time to test Midnight’s new power, as he connected to him and cast the mid tier bloodline spell Merge, instantly the tattoo on his left hand seemed to come alive, glowing with dual light as Alec walked across the bridge leading into the forest.

With each step, his bones began to crack as the transformation started.

It was painful—yes.

But Alec didn’t make a sound. He didn’t groan, didn’t flinch, he simply kept walking in silence, as five seconds later, his form finished changing.

He stood seven feet tall now, broad-shouldered, and the differences hit him instantly, the first was so obvious, his fur in the werewolf state had split into two distinct colors.

It wasn’t like before, when his fur was jet-black, so dark it could melt into the night like a living shadow. Now, he had two tones, as the fur along his mane had turned white, tracing a long line down to his waist, like a wide greatsword cutting through a sea of darkness.

White fur also circled his elbow and knee joints. Alec didn’t understand why it formed that way, but if he had to guess, it was simply because it made him look terrifyingly cool.

Then there were his claws, his left claws glowed with a pale white hue, while his right claws carried a thick, dark aura.

With a thought, Alec pulled up his system status again, two of his skills had already been pushed into the High Rank, and he had forced every mutated part into High Rank as well.

Even right now he could add another part of his body into the mutated tab, but he still hadn’t decided which body part to mutate next so he left it like that, but even without that final upgrade, he could feel it—

This was the strongest state he had ever reached, his eyes had changed too, turning a pure, predatory red, alpha eyes that didn’t belong to a man.

All that power, all those new skills, and suddenly, he only wanted to do one thing.

Howl.

He didn’t understand it. It was like Midnight’s bestial instincts were flooding into him too, and before he could resist, he lifted his head and howled at the Shadow Moon hanging above the Dark Forest sky.

It was a signal, a declaration that every beast nearby would understand, and at the same time… it just felt right.

But the moment his howl faded, a notification flashed before him.
