Chapter 1730: NP89076H Court Meeting

This chapter is updated by Novels.pl

Infinite Divine Court Base, Reverse Black Stone Array:

The Star Manifestation was the first to return, with blood all over its body. Their expression was calm, but anyone who knew them could tell they were a volcano about to explode. A lowly ant dared attack and injure them — how could Star Manifestation accept this? Regardless of their feelings, the Star Manifestation still knew how to control their emotions and show proper respect. So, they glanced at the handsome young man sitting cross-legged in the room with a yellow imperial robe with black dragons.

"Your Highness," Star Manifestation said politely.

"Now is not the time for etiquette," Jiang Ye calmly uttered. Star Manifestation knew this, but they insisted on showing respect to all members of the royal family. Luckily for them, they didn’t have to continue this conversation as someone returned.

A muscular middle-aged man dressed in a white robe with nine lions embroidered on it with gold threads, a black belt, and a jade pendant. His facial expression was stern, a fact accentuated by his mustache and beard, but the most striking feature is the nine pupils in each eye. The Nine Spirit Lion Saint glanced at Jiang Ye and nodded.

The third person to return from their battle was the Myriad Goud Empress. Her expression was pale, and even the gourd hanging on the side of her red dress lacked a specific luster or vitality. After arriving at the room, she didn’t say anything to anyone — not even Jiang Ye — and just waited.

The Heavenly Wolf Khan appeared in the room. His 4-meter-tall frame towered over everybody, and just like the Nine Spirit Lion Saint, he showed no sign of injuries. He gently nodded to Jiang Ye before starting a conversation with the Myriad Gourd Empress. However, their discussion hasn’t gotten anywhere, and the last person arrived.

However, the person who showed up was not in human or Dao Shape; they arrived in the form of a shrunken, black-and-white dragon with twelve and a half legs. The Yin-Yang Origin Dragon disdained changing into human form. His form is the most perfect between Heaven and Earth; why would he need to change? The fact that he shrank himself in the first place was out of respect for the Highest Sovereign.

Now that everybody was here, they sat in a circle to discuss the situation. Although Jiang Ye was a member of the royal family, he was only a Primordial Saint, so he did not lead the conversation. The first to speak was the Heavenly Wolf Khan: "This invasion might be the worst we’ve faced. We must be careful."

A few rebels have previously attacked this timeline, seeking to destroy this strategic area of the court. However, they have always defeated the enemy and moved the timeline to prevent future trouble. However, none of them expected the Primordial Timeline to launch an attack of its own.

"Don’t say something we don’t already understand," the Myriad Gourd Empress said. "We need concrete ideas."

"From previous experience, we know they will infiltrate the array next. Should we proceed as usual?" the Nine Spirit Lion Saint asked.

"Under normal circumstances, that might work. But I want you to see this," Star Manifestation said as they showed a projection of thirteen locations around the universe. Before passing the task to the Prince, Star Manifestation was the person who had previously controlled the array and had the opportunity to observe the enemy’s movements.

"We saw them deploy these pillars. What’s their purpose?" the Empress asked.

"It’s a refining array. They want to refine this timeline into the purest of power," Star Manifestation explained.

"Such an obvious and despicable bait," the Yin-Yang Origin Dragon sneered.

"Sadly, it’s a bait we have to take," the Heavenly Wolf Khan sighed. The Reverse Black Stone relies on very special rules of this timeline to be created. These rules are so special that even the Highest Sovereign failed to recreate them artificially. So, if this timeline suffers too much damage to its source, these rules will either be destroyed or changed, ruining the court’s entire operation.

"Do you think we should ask Suiji to interfere?" the Myriad Gourd Empress asked.

"Absolutely not," Jiang Ye finally spoke. "Unless it’s a last resort, we cannot disturb her."

"The prince is right, but the issue is how are we supposed to stop so many people?" the Nine Spirit Lion Saint asked. "Not to mention, there is a high chance that Suiji will be detected, further complicating the situation."

The room was momentarily quiet. The rebels could never amass more than 6 Ascendant Saints to attack them, so they’ve never faced this issue. So, the current priority is to find a method to address the issue of numerical disadvantage.

"I suggest we cast the Cardinal Protocol Spell," the Heavenly Wolf Khan commented.

"Didn’t we just establish that we couldn’t disturb Lord Suiji?" Jiang Ye frowned.

"We only need to create two of them, which will slow down Suiji but not affect her. Star Manifestation can continue using the Holy Guardian Armor to hold off more people. And if necessary, your highness must be prepared to use some of your life-saving methods."

Jiang Ye frowned. He only had a few second-step protections, and typically, he wouldn’t be cheap about using them. But in the current predicament, using one means is the only way to save his life. Not to mention the only third-step Void Breaking Talisman he possessed might not safely teleport him back to the court. However, in the current situation, he cannot be selfish either. Better than anyone else present, he understood the value of the Reverse Black Stone.

The Infinite Divine Court is wealthy in resources for all stages of cultivation, and the key to all of this is the Time Gates, which require the Reverse Black Stones. With the gates, the court is essentially a prison, without the ability to invade and conquer countless timelines to amass resources.

"I will do my best."

"I must remind you that the Holy Guardian Armor was damaged in the previous fight, and it will take time and a bit of resources to repair," Star Manifestation added.

"In this situation, we don’t have time for your proper etiquette nonsense," the Yin Yang Origin Dragon said, words that received a glare from the speaker.

"We have dealt with the minor issue," the Myriad Gourd Empress suddenly said, stopping an argument before it even started. "Now for the main issue: how to break the blockade."

"The best option is to ask Suiji to intervene, but since that’s not possible, we must settle for Plan B," the Heavenly Wolf Khan calmly stated. He glanced at Jiang Ye. "His Majesty has already made his move, and now, it’s your turn. Use your bloodline and the [Emperor Light Scripture] to resonate with the Sovereign’s power. Then, you can work from inside and outside to remove this blockade."

Jiang Ye opened his mouth and closed, pausing for a few seconds before asking: "Is this the only way?" The [Emperor Light Scripture] is a brilliant cultivation technique for anybody who lays eyes on it, but for members of the royal family, it’s a curse. Their blood and soul are so perfect for this technique that it becomes the ultimate temptation for their family. And once a member of the royal family loses themselves to that temptation, they will unknowingly change their Dao to copy the Highest Sovereign.

Jiang Ye knew that for this plan to succeed, he would have to not only use the scripture to its fullest, but also awaken the power of his bloodline. With these two combinations, he had no confidence in surviving the temptation. Once that happens, his cultivation path will be cut off.

"Don’t worry, his highness, once we survive this ordeal, you will have made a great contribution. The Sovereign will not hesitate to help you," the Heavenly Wolf Khan reassured.

"I understand," Jiang Ye sighed. As a Saint, Dao Corruption is a trillion times more challenging to cure, but if the Highest Sovereign is dedicated to saving him, the latter has plenty of resources to do so.

’Poor bastard,’ the Yin Yang Origin Dragon thought. He knew the pitfall of the Heavenly Wolf Khan’s plan. Once this plan is executed, Jiang Ye will become the perfect vessel for the Highest Sovereign to descend into this world. And it’s not because the latter left something hidden in his descendant’s bloodline — the Highest Sovereign disdains doing such a thing.

Unfortunately, while there are many benefits to being the descendant of a Grand Dao Saint, there are also many troubles, one of which is how easily a higher being can control people of a similar bloodline — especially direct descendants such as Jiang Ye. Once the Highest Sovereign takes over the body, if he’s not careful, he might accidentally turn Jiang Ye into one of his clones, essentially killing him forever.

However, none of the people present cares about this. This timeline was of the highest priority. As for Jiang Ye’s fate? Well, no matter what, as long as it’s not true death at the hands of another third-step powerhouse, the Highest Sovereign can save him as long as he’s willing.
