Chapter 2840: The Kami Descend

"Based on your reaction, it's clear you don't care about your people or what will happen to this world, just as I suspected!" Kireina said furiously. "Amaterasu, you and the other Gods don't care about Earth at all, do you?! You only see it as a place filled with disgusting mortals, but I don't. Earth is precious to me, and I will fight to protect it. I will find a way to stop its destruction!"

"What nonsense…! Enough!" Amaterasu roared. "Susanoo, Tsukuyomi! Everyone else, come and aid me! This Demon can revive even if her soul is destroyed. We must kill her a hundred times if necessary!"

FLASH! FLASH! FLASH! FLASH!

From the endless golden heavens above, several colorful stars descended one after another. All of them were Kami, their glistening radiance and combined massive divinities radiating tremendous power. Among them, two particularly powerful ones, equal to Amaterasu, arrived.

A silver star and a white star took the forms of Amaterasu's brothers: Tsukuyomi, Kami of the Moon, and Susanoo, Kami of Storms and Swordsmanship. Their appearances were hard to discern for Kireina, as their bodies glowed with bright divine radiance.

"Is this the Demon causing all this commotion?!" Susanoo asked. He was the smallest of the three siblings, floating in the skies while holding a long katana. His aura surged with the sharpness of a blade. Kireina had absorbed a fragment of his power when healing Medea, but facing the real thing was different. His presence, divinity, and power exuded the rage of storms and the keen edge of swords, as if he were a living blade crackling with thunder.

"It seems so," Tsukuyomi said, revealing a fan and waving it gently over his face. "She appears afraid. Should we let her go, sister? I dislike picking on the weak. It is so distasteful. Don't you agree, Susanoo?"

"Weak? I don't think that woman is weak. She looks incredibly strong!" Susanoo smiled widely. "She's no weakling at all! That woman is powerful indeed if she pushed our sister this far and even slew that little one over there!"

"Please, oh great Kami, take her down…!" the Great Ancestor begged. "I've done everything I could, but she's too powerful!"

"Hahah, now you say that after underestimating me," Kireina laughed bitterly. "I thought you might be a decent person based on Matsuo's words, but it seems you're terribly biased against my kind."

"Why wouldn't we be? The last one who arrived here caused the greatest disaster ever known in Japan!" Amaterasu roared. "You deserve no mercy! We will eliminate your species from the root until none of your accursed beings remain!"

As this unfolded, the other Kami began exuding their Divine Auras, infusing them into the mortals below. None dared to fight directly, seemingly too proud and mighty to act so desperately.

"All of you, members of the Clan, this is a battle unlike any other! We must take down this Chaos Spawn!" Amaterasu commanded. "We shall grant you Divine Blessings and Divine Protections. Restore the clan's honor by defeating her!"

"YES, AMATERASU-SAMA!"

Every member of the clan began glowing with divine power. Their Auras surged wildly as if the Kami above had descended into their bodies, using them as vessels for their divinity.

"So it has come to this…"

Kireina watched hundreds of people fly into the skies and rush toward her, all while Amaterasu held her tightly in her Divine Grasp.

But not for much longer.

"This sword I forged using your finger has a name. I've called it the Infinite Heavens Sword. I have poured all my power into a single ability: to stretch endlessly!"

SLAAASH!

Kireina roared. Her Aura exploded in that instant as Cosmic Chaos Energy surged. The ground beneath shattered, and the cosmic grasp dispersed immediately. Amaterasu's eyes widened as sharp pain pierced her head. Kireina's attack had struck her Divine Consciousness, the source of the "Divine Grasp" holding her.

"S-She cut through my Consciousness?! Impossible! Only the greatest Sword Masters or Susanoo can do such a thing— Ugh! Where is she?!"

Amaterasu's consciousness was severed to the point that her senses faltered for a few seconds, giving Kireina the chance to slip free from her authority and fly away as fast as possible.

"Fighting all of them is pointless, and I don't want to kill them either. I have to escape before…!"

But Kireina could not flee. A giant barrier of silver moonlight suddenly blocked her path, glistening radiantly as it fired dozens of silver beams toward her.

"I am sorry, but by my sister's command, I cannot let you go, little Chaos Spawn!"

Tsukuyomi, half the size of his sister but still enormous, swung his fan downward. The ground around him shook.

"Cosmic Moon Prison!"

A giant silver moon manifested in front of Kireina and crashed against her.

The moon, however, was not solid matter but pure moonlight divine cosmic essence. It enveloped her body with overwhelming power and trapped her inside.

"Another prison?!"

As Kireina struggled, dozens of Clan Members appeared in the skies and combined their divine and holy powers, conjuring magic circles and formations to bind her even further.

"Contain her!"

"Don't let her escape!"

"Put your lifeforce into it if necessary!"

"OOOOHHH!"

As they roared together, Kireina clicked her tongue and swung her Infinite Heavens Sword. The entire moon split into two halves, and the formation shattered. The clan members were cleaved apart in a single instant, their innards spraying everywhere as they plummeted to the ground below.

"Starlight-Reflecting Moon Mirrors!"

The moment she freed herself, Tsukuyomi swung his fan again. Dozens of mirrors materialized out of thin air, firing moonlight beams that began weakening her, burning her cosmic energy rather than harming her directly.

"Unnghh!"

Kireina gripped her swords tightly. With the Infinite Heavens Sword and Silva, she swung both at once with full power.

Through Silva, she channeled her disruption power. Glitched spacetime matter manifested as she cut through the air, distorting and destroying Tsukuyomi's magic.

SLAAASH!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

"What sort of sword is that?! She can disrupt elemental essence and matter?!"

Tsukuyomi was stunned. Kireina seized the opportunity to slip past his authority by slicing through his Consciousness Domain, making him scream in pain as a severe headache gripped him for a few seconds.

As she fled, however, a smaller figure blocked her path. Susanoo appeared, unsheathing his blade with a smile full of fascination. He clearly looked forward to this.

"You use two swords. I like that! Show me what you can do, anomalous being!"

With a single swing of his blade, the heavens split apart. Kireina felt immense dread. If that strike landed, the damage would be so severe that even her constant revival psyche might not endure it.

"I cannot avoid it either! I must… counter with my own attacks!"
